About the position

The Sr. Financial Analyst at Textron Systems plays a crucial role in the financial management of assigned contracts, focusing on detailed financial analysis and reporting. This position requires close collaboration with program teams and various functional departments to ensure the accuracy of monthly cost projections, as well as sales and profit forecasts. The analyst will be responsible for conducting comprehensive analyses, maintaining forecasts, and providing Estimates at Completion (EACs) for various programs. Under the guidance of the Director of Finance, the Sr. Financial Analyst will generate and track monthly budgets, cost projections, and sales and profit estimates, alongside various Earned Value reports. In this role, the Sr. Financial Analyst will utilize financial data and analysis to advise program managers and business leaders during monthly reviews and critical business decisions. Acting as the primary liaison between Finance and Program leadership teams, the analyst will provide real-time information to the Director of Finance regarding any changes in program financials and execution. The creation and maintenance of standard financial reports, including orders, sales, cost, profit, and cash flow forecasts, as well as Monthly Program Status Reports and Earned Value reports, will be key responsibilities. Additionally, the Sr. Financial Analyst will ensure that program financials comply with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) regulations and Internal Controls. Establishing and maintaining baselines and EACs in the Earned Value tool (Deltek Cobra) is also a critical function of this role. The analyst will analyze program data to ensure that estimates are accurate and complete, and will also mentor and train junior staff to cultivate a robust Program Finance talent pipeline. This position is essential for supporting Textron Systems' mission of delivering innovative defense technologies and services.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required, degrees in Accounting or Finance preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Program Finance/Government contracting experience is a must
  • Program baselining, forecasting, and financial support
  • Experience with Earned Value Management
  • Familiarity with FAR/DFAR
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial data
  • Must have the ability to be a self-starter and work with minimal supervision
