About the position

As a Senior Financial Analyst at Ferroglobe, you will be instrumental in guiding decision-making and setting strategies in collaboration with the Management Committee. This role is particularly focused on Joint Venture operations, where your expertise will be crucial in tracking forecasts, analyzing financial performance, and ensuring effective communication among various stakeholders. Your analytical skills and financial acumen will significantly contribute to the success of our joint ventures, making this a pivotal position within the organization. In the realm of Financial Reporting and Analysis, you will assist in preparing periodic reports that highlight strategic KPIs and budget tracking reports as defined by the Head of FP&A. You will take full ownership of the Joint Venture operations, driving process communication among different stakeholders and compiling monthly reports. Your responsibilities will also include tracking performance against the budget, identifying deviations, and anticipating future impacts, such as the effects of machine downtime on EBITDA. At the end of each reporting period, you will compare estimated financial results with actual results and analyze any discrepancies. Your role will also encompass Strategic Planning and Communication, where you will complete the standard reporting defined by the company for the Joint Venture perimeter, excluding plant investments. Effective communication with cross-functional teams will be essential to ensure alignment and understanding of financial impacts and strategies. In terms of Operational Excellence, you will ensure timely and accurate financial data management and reporting, while also supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the Joint Venture operations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing periodic reports of strategic KPIs and budget tracking reports as defined by the Head of FP&A.
  • Fully own the Joint Venture operations, driving process communication within different stakeholders and compiling monthly reports.
  • Track performance against the budget, identify deviations, and anticipate future impacts (e.g., machine downtime impacts on EBITDA).
  • Compare estimated financial results with actual results at the end of each reporting period and analyze the differences.
  • Complete the standard reporting defined by the company for the Joint Venture perimeter, excluding plant investments.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and understanding of financial impacts and strategies.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial data management and reporting.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Joint Venture operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the manufacturing industry, with significant exposure to joint venture operations.
  • Proven experience in financial reporting, analysis, and strategic planning.
  • Excellent analytical and numeracy skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of SQL and BI tools is a plus.
  • Advanced proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of business operations and financial principles.
  • Ability to anticipate and address financial impacts of operational changes.
