The Senior Financial Operations Analyst at Parkland Health and Hospital System plays a crucial role in providing advanced financial support and consultation to operational leaders within the organization. This position serves as a key resource for Parkland leadership, focusing on financial management and operational support. The analyst is expected to engage in a variety of financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial analysis, while also ensuring compliance with Parkland's fiscal policies and directives. The role requires a deep understanding of financial systems and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, including executive management and physicians. In this position, the analyst will be responsible for the timely maintenance and distribution of financial and statistical reports, as well as managing account and cost center changes. They will perform advanced analysis and participate in complex special projects, responding to specific requests for ad hoc reports and providing technical and accounting expertise. The analyst will assist in the preparation of the division's annual capital and operating budgets, monitor actual results against the budget, and revise budgets as necessary. Additionally, they will support Patient Financial Services in reviewing and correcting lag charges, and will be involved in the review of requests for FTE resources and operational expenses. The Senior Financial Operations Analyst will also complete proformas and financial analyses to support strategic business development processes, review variance reports, and analyze financial activities to ensure fiscal accountability. They will monitor and reconcile various expenditures, assist in capital expenditure processes, and support the Foundation in collecting non-operating revenue. The role includes acting as a liaison for surveys, ensuring accurate data collection, and maintaining organized documentation. Furthermore, the analyst will be responsible for training and onboarding new department employees, ensuring that training materials are current and relevant.
