About the position

The Sr Financials Analyst II position at the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) is designed to support the Director in Business Finance Solutions. This role encompasses overseeing financial and compliance functions across various Operating Units, including Corporate Activities, Standards Association, Educational Activities, and more. The incumbent will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, reporting, procurement, and process improvements, ensuring the integrity of financial operations and compliance matters. The position requires collaboration with multiple departments and the ability to provide accurate financial advice while educating staff on financial practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for EAB & USA business units, including annual budgets and monthly financial analysis.
• Partner with IT to support project planning and implementation for EAB and USA initiatives.
• Ensure timely communication and accurate reporting for Board and Finance Committee meetings, including preparation of financial presentations.
• Support EAB and USA staff with journal entries and bank transfers, ensuring compliance with business continuity processes.
• Conduct training sessions on financial processes and provide customer service support for financial documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 4-7 years of financial experience required.
• Excellent financial analysis skills and project management capabilities.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice-to-haves

• CPA License is recommended but not required.
• Experience in improving financial processes and systems is preferred.
• Experience in preparing and presenting financial results to senior management is preferred.
