About the position

The HOKA Senior Footwear Product Testing Analyst will play a pivotal role in leading the product testing process, which encompasses the development of best practices, seasonal test plans, and the execution of testing protocols. This position requires close collaboration with various teams, including Product Development, Product Engineering, and Innovation, to support the product testing strategy and provide clear, actionable test information that contributes to the ongoing enhancement of HOKA footwear. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in footwear product testing and will be passionate about ensuring that HOKA products meet and exceed consumer expectations regarding fit, performance, and durability, all while embodying the HOKA spirit. In this role, the Senior Footwear Product Testing Analyst will lead testing initiatives across multiple categories and genders, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of product testing to deliver timely and relevant information to product creation teams. The analyst will also mentor and train both new and existing team members to maintain consistency in testing practices. Additionally, the role involves creating product testing best practices and being an expert in survey creation, focus group facilitation, and conducting interviews to gather valuable insights. The position is designed for a collaborative team player who excels in project management and thrives in a fast-paced, global environment. The candidate should be self-motivated, curious, and possess strong listening and learning skills, making them an asset to the team and the overall product development process.

Responsibilities

  • Lead testing across multiple categories, genders, and complexity of product.
  • Mentor and train new and existing Analysts to ensure consistency across testing.
  • Assist in the creation of product testing best practices.
  • Present timely and relevant information to product creation teams.
  • Be an expert in survey creation, leading focus groups and interviews.

Requirements

  • High school degree required.
  • Two or four-year college degree or equivalent, with coursework or solid experience in research methodology, test design and analysis.
  • 8 to 10 years' experience in a work context where research, data collection, and results analysis were a significant part of the job.
  • 5 to 8 years' experience in the footwear industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of footwear product testing as a key part of the footwear product creation process.
  • 1 to 2 years' experience training/mentoring new team members.
  • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, database, and product testing software.
  • Understanding of footwear components, materials, and production processes.
  • Familiarity with foot anatomy and biomechanics.
