About the position

The Senior FP&A Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis functions within the company. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate business unit level reporting, analyzing monthly results, and preparing month-end reporting packages. The analyst collaborates with various departments to communicate key financial drivers and provide insights for decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Manage headcount reporting
  • Support the development and maintenance of annual budgets and forecasts
  • Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis and recommendations for corrective actions
  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and company policies
  • Assist in the development, maintenance and analysis of weekly cashflow forecast
  • Assist in the preparation/presentation of management reports, including variance analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Work closely with other departments to gather financial information and provide insights for decision-making
  • Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits
  • Provide documentation and support to auditors as required
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in financial reporting and controls
  • Develop and implement new procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions
  • Partnering with CEO/CFO and SR Director FP&A to build Board presentations
  • Ensure compliance with accounting and financial reporting standards and regulations
  • Assist and support other employees and teams as necessary
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned by management

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance from an accredited institution
  • 3+ Years of FP&A experience, preferably in the Medical Device industry
  • Experience with United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP)
  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • Experience with Budget processes
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Ability to interpret and analyze complex financial data
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter with continuous improvement mindset
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
