About the position

The FP&A Analyst at Fundbox plays a crucial role in supporting the company's financial operations by building and managing financial reporting and data analysis. This position involves partnering with business leaders to develop budgets, report on expenditures, and enhance financial awareness across the organization. The Analyst will engage in high-impact areas such as capital transactions and policy writing, contributing to the strategic growth of Fundbox.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, automate & own robust and scalable reporting for both internal and external partners.
  • Manage reporting and accuracy of key financial data metrics used for operational decision-making, financial and capital markets reporting and analysis.
  • Partner with team leads and executives to build multi-year forecasts.
  • Own the department budget vs actual spend function, from reporting results to key stakeholders, to recommending spend efficiencies.
  • Serve as Finance liaison to departments by working closely with them in understanding their business, supporting their initiatives, and general financial inquiries.
  • Conduct ad hoc business reporting and analysis as needed.
  • Partner with team leads to define key metrics and build and/or automate reporting to monitor and analyze performance amongst other key metrics.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of FP&A experience working with business partners and finance leadership developing budgets and reporting financials.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Data Analytics.
  • Experience gathering and tracking metrics.
  • Ability to write SQL queries.
  • Experience with Tableau or other data visualization tools.
  • Advanced skills in Excel as well as PowerPoint, including ability to build dynamic financial models and presentations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Superior attention to detail and ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining a view of the big picture.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with various management levels.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of R and Python is a plus.
