About the position

The Sr. Front End Developer will support the MDOT Development program by collaborating with development project teams, UI/UX designers, and business analysts to create and maintain reusable UI components that are accessible, performant, scalable, and robust. The role requires a strong understanding of web accessibility standards and responsive design, with a focus on compliance with WCAG 2.1 and ADA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with development teams, UI/UX designers, and business analysts to develop and maintain reusable UI components.
• Ensure all development is accessible and compliant with WCAG 2.1 and ADA standards.
• Test developed components for accessibility using Jaws reader and browser plugins.
• Participate in Agile development processes as a programmer.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience with React.js.
• 5 years of experience with HTML5 and CSS frameworks.
• 5 years of knowledge and experience with ADA, WCAG 2.1, and Section 508 compliance policies.
• 3 years of experience with current Java, including relevant IDE tools such as Eclipse/Jboss Developer Studio.
• 2 years of experience programming with JPA framework.
• 2 years of experience programming with current Spring framework.
• 2 years of experience programming with Spring Boot and Spring Data.
• 3 years of experience programming with Java 8+.
• 2 years of experience participating in an Agile development environment.
