About the position

As a Senior Front End Developer for our Developer Portal, you will be an integral part of our Scrum Team, contributing significantly to the evolution of our innovative developer portal. Your role will involve close collaboration with Product Owners who have a clear vision for the product. They will depend on your technical expertise to translate high-level business requirements into actionable technical specifications that can be understood and implemented by the team. This position is not just about coding; it’s about shaping the future of our product through effective communication and technical guidance. In this role, you will be responsible for breaking down complex business needs into clear, technical features. This will require you to utilize your technical acumen to ensure that all team members can access and understand the requirements. Additionally, you will take on a mentorship role, guiding junior engineers by breaking down tasks into manageable steps and overseeing their execution to ensure alignment with project goals. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering a collaborative and productive team environment. You will dedicate 50% of your time to hands-on coding, where you will craft high-quality, scalable code that enhances the functionality of our developer portal. The remaining 50% of your time will be spent on leadership activities, which include providing project updates, strategizing requirement breakdowns, participating in design and review meetings, and nurturing the growth of junior engineers. This dual focus on coding and leadership will allow you to make a significant impact on both the product and the team.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with Product Owners to understand and refine the product vision, ensuring effective communication across the team.
• Utilize technical expertise to deconstruct complex business needs into clear, technical features accessible to all team members.
• Act as a mentor and guide for junior engineers, breaking down tasks into manageable steps and overseeing their execution.
• Dedicate 50% of time to hands-on coding, crafting high-quality, scalable code that enhances the developer portal's functionality.
• Spend the remaining 50% of time in leadership activities, providing project updates, strategizing requirement breakdowns, participating in design and review meetings, and fostering the growth of junior engineers.

Requirements

• 6-9 years hands-on experience in building adaptive and responsive UI applications.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, React, Redux, etc.
• Recent experience working on React & Redux.
• Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, yarn, etc.
• Solid understanding of JSON Schemas and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with CI/CD process for frontend applications.
