About the position

We are seeking a talented Senior Full Stack Developer for an immediate contract opportunity that offers long-term potential. This position is based in Atlanta, GA, and is expected to last for 12 months or more. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud technologies, particularly AWS, and experience in migrating applications to the cloud. The role requires proficiency in web application frameworks and API technologies, including but not limited to JQuery, AngularJS, Swagger, and Springboot. The candidate should also have experience with API management platforms such as AWS API Gateway or similar solutions. In addition to technical skills, the candidate must be familiar with Agile methodologies, DevSecOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines, utilizing build tools like GIT, Jenkins, Maven, and Gradle. Experience with automation and testing tools such as Postman, Mockito, Junit, and SonarQube is also essential. The role involves working with containers and managed container orchestrators like Kubernetes or OpenShift in the cloud, specifically AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service or Red Hat OpenShift. The successful candidate will be responsible for deploying or migrating applications to AWS, demonstrating strong analytical skills and excellent communication abilities. The position requires the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment with minimal supervision. Candidates should be results-oriented, capable of meeting deadlines, and possess strong attention to detail. Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills are crucial, as the individual will need to resolve issues quickly and effectively. Additionally, candidates must be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by the date of hire, where permitted by applicable law.

Responsibilities

  • Experience in Cloud Technologies (preferably AWS) and application migration to the cloud
  • Experience in Web application frameworks and API technologies like JQuery, AngularJS, Swagger, and Springboot
  • Experience with API Management Platform like AWS API Gateway or similar
  • Experience in Agile methodologies, DevSecOps, CI/CD pipeline and Build tools (GIT, Jenkins, Maven, Gradle)
  • Experience with automation and test tools (Postman, Mockito, Junit, SonarQube)
  • Experience working with containers, and managed container orchestrators (Kubernetes/OpenShift) in the cloud
  • Experience deploying or migrating applications to AWS
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well with others in a time-sensitive and team environment with minimal supervision
  • Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills; able to resolve problems in a calm and quick manner

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering related discipline
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate
  • AWS Certified Developer - Associate
  • Preferably Airline domain experience
  • Experience working with containers, and managed container orchestrators (Kubernetes/OpenShift) in the cloud
  • Experience in cloud managed services and DB
  • Knowledge and/or experience with messaging solutions such as ActiveMQ or Kafka
  • Highly motivated, and keen to work in a fast-paced organization with a passion for working on new technologies
