About the position

The Sr. Functional GL Lead will oversee and manage General Ledger accounting as part of a significant SAP Public Cloud deployment across North America. This role involves collaborating with development teams to design and test interfaces to the S/4 General Ledger, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and leading the design of General Ledger workflows. The position requires a strong understanding of financial processes and the ability to drive best practices in financial management and reporting using S/4HANA Public Cloud.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage General Ledger accounting, including the Finance Organizational Structure, Ledgers, Chart of Accounts, GL Accounts, and Profit & Cost Centers.
• Collaborate with development teams to design and test development objects, specifically interfaces to S/4 General Ledger.
• Ensure thorough documentation and support throughout the development lifecycle.
• Lead the design and build of General Ledger workflows, ensuring alignment with business processes and compliance with financial regulations.
• Leverage knowledge of S/4HANA Public Cloud to drive best practices in financial management and reporting.
• Acquire the S/4HANA Cloud Finance Implementation (C_S4CFI) certification within the first three weeks of employment.

Requirements

• Experience in SAP Finance, with a focus on General Ledger Accounting.
• Proven track record in designing and implementing financial solutions in S/4HANA environments.
• Certified in S/4HANA Cloud Finance Implementation (C_S4CFI) or commitment to obtaining certification upon hiring.
• Strong understanding of financial processes and compliance requirements.
• Experience with SAP development lifecycle and interfaces related to General Ledger.
• Professional Services Industry experience required.

Nice-to-haves

• Must obtain a SAP Certified Application Associate - SAP S/4HANA Cloud, public edition - Professional Services C_S4CPS_2308 or already have S/4HANA Cloud Finance Implementation C_S4CFI Certification.
