About the position

The Sr. Fund Accountant position at a private equity firm in San Francisco involves overseeing financial operations related to fund and general partner accounting. This hybrid role allows for two days in the office and emphasizes employee development and career advancement within a supportive culture.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Fund and General Partner (GP) general ledgers, including recording quarterly expenses, accruals, intercompany payments, investment transactions, and limited partner allocations.
  • Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements.
  • Support annual audit processes and tax filings.
  • Monitor cash positions for assigned Funds.
  • Calculate, record, and process capital calls and distributions for Funds and Investments.
  • Collaborate with Investor Relations to address limited partner inquiries.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in Fund Accounting or from public Audit with exposure to investment management clients (e.g., Fund of Funds, Private Equity).
  • Degree in Accounting, Business, or Economics.
  • CPA is a plus.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills for success in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
