About the position
The Sr. Fund Accountant position at a private equity firm in San Francisco involves overseeing financial operations related to fund and general partner accounting. Responsibilities
- Oversee Fund and General Partner (GP) general ledgers, including recording quarterly expenses, accruals, intercompany payments, investment transactions, and limited partner allocations.
- Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Support annual audit processes and tax filings.
- Monitor cash positions for assigned Funds.
- Calculate, record, and process capital calls and distributions for Funds and Investments.
- Collaborate with Investor Relations to address limited partner inquiries.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in Fund Accounting or from public Audit with exposure to investment management clients (e.g., Fund of Funds, Private Equity).
- Degree in Accounting, Business, or Economics.
- CPA is a plus.
- Strong time management and organizational skills for success in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
