About the position
The Sr. Gas Operations Technician is responsible for the safe and efficient operations of pipeline and gathering systems on a daily basis. This role involves managing both physical and human assets at assigned facilities, ensuring compliance with regulations, and leading safety initiatives. The position is based near Salt Lake City, UT, and includes the provision of a company vehicle for work travel.
Responsibilities
- Provides leadership in all aspects of operation and maintenance
- Assists in planning and managing O&M budgets
- Manages the technical performance of the plant
- Leads the safety of the facility and personnel
- Complies with all regulations and policies
- Oversees personnel development and succession planning
- Drives the continuous improvement of performance
- Pulls gas samples at central delivery points (CDPs)
- Drives right-of-ways to observe for pipeline damage/leaks
- Performs metering maintenance
- Performs general maintenance of equipment
- Interacts with landowners and production personnel
- Communicates effectively throughout all levels of the organization
- Meets attendance and storm duty requirements
- Works extended hours
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Valid Driver's License (NON CDL)
- High School Grad / GED
- 5+ years of experience
