About the position

At Lucid Motors, we are committed to revolutionizing the luxury electric vehicle market by creating vehicles that not only elevate the human experience but also push the boundaries of performance and intelligence. As a Sr. Geartrain Systems Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in this mission by conducting in-depth analysis and simulation of geartrain systems to ensure they meet our high standards for performance and reliability. This position requires a collaborative spirit, as you will work closely with our engineering team to design and refine geartrain systems for various electric drive units. Your expertise will be crucial in helping us lead the charge in this new era of luxury electric vehicles. In this role, you will be responsible for performing detailed analyses of geartrain systems, assessing their efficiency, noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH), durability, and overall performance. You will utilize advanced simulation software, such as Romax, to model geartrain systems and predict their behavior under various operating conditions. Additionally, you will conduct fatigue analysis for components like planetary carriers, shafts, and planet pins, ensuring that our designs are robust and reliable. Collaboration is key in this position; you will work alongside design engineers to evaluate geartrain design concepts and provide recommendations for improvements. Investigating geartrain system failures and implementing corrective measures will also be part of your responsibilities, as will selecting appropriate materials to meet performance and durability requirements. You will plan and execute physical tests to validate the performance of geartrain systems, continuously seeking opportunities for optimization and suggesting design modifications as necessary. Documentation is an essential aspect of this role, as you will maintain comprehensive records of your analysis results, simulations, and design changes. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality control, to ensure the seamless integration of geartrain systems into our vehicles. Lastly, ensuring that our geartrain systems comply with industry standards and safety regulations will be a critical part of your job.
