About the position
The Sr Generative AI Strategist at Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a pivotal role focused on leveraging advanced technologies such as generative AI and machine learning to enhance business outcomes for customers. This position involves collaborating with various stakeholders, including AWS sales and service teams, to develop industry-specific programs that drive business metrics and deliver measurable value. The strategist acts as a trusted advocate for customers, ensuring best practices in program delivery and project management are followed to achieve scalable and repeatable success.
Responsibilities
- Align customer's technologists and business leads to explore generative AI and machine learning opportunities.
- Discuss complex industry-specific business concepts with executives and line managers.
- Engage with AWS teams including applied scientists, solutions architects, and industry specialists.
- Drive large, complex sales opportunities from ideation to delivery.
- Conduct workshops to identify opportunities for delivering business value through generative AI or machine learning.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or 7+ years of professional or military experience.
- 5+ years of experience in the industry as a machine learning practitioner or executive.
- Experience participating in the sales lifecycle (directly or indirectly).
- Experience in management consulting or related work.
- Experience launching technically complex programs involving big data, analytics, AI, and machine learning.
Nice-to-haves
- Executive communication and writing skills.
- Experience in product or solutions lifecycles.
- Experience presenting to diverse audiences of 5 to 50 people.
- Passion for educating and building solutions for a range of customers.
- Advanced degree desired (e.g., MBA, MS).
