About The Position

As a Senior General Ledger Accountant at CBRE, you will manage complex accounting activities to maintain an accurate general ledger. This role is integral to the Controlling function, focusing on financial controls and the preparation of financial reports for management and shareholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree preferred with 2-5 years of relevant experience, or a combination of experience and education.
• Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
• Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
• Advanced math skills, including the ability to calculate complicated figures such as percentages and fractions.

Responsibilities

• Answer escalated questions regarding various accounting issues and reports.
• Prepare income statements, balance sheets, and various other accounting statements or financial reports.
• Review the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications.
• Evaluate various complex accounting variances, reports, and records, making recommendations for reserves, assets, and expenditures.
• Maintain, record, and reconcile billings and accounts receivables for large clients, markets, or accounts.
• Create month-end accounting entries and reconcile discrepancies, posting to the general ledger.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and check transactions from the subsystem for data accuracy.
• Examine financial statements and documents for conformance with accounting requirements and fundamentals.
• Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems.
• Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values.
