About the position

As a CBRE GL Accounting Sr. Manager, you will lead a large team responsible for overseeing the financial performance of clients. This role involves managing the organization's financial controls and preparing financial reports for management and shareholders, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial matters.

Responsibilities

  • Provide formal supervision to employees and monitor their training and development.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and coaching for team members.
  • Lead all aspects of recruiting and hiring new employees.
  • Coordinate and lead the team's daily activities, establishing work schedules and assigning tasks.
  • Set and track staff and department deadlines, mentoring and coaching as needed.
  • Create a positive customer experience by maintaining constructive communication.
  • Review items handled by junior team members and provide guidance as necessary.
  • Prepare complex financial statements and approve audit and tax preparation documents.
  • Act as the point of contact for the implementation and maintenance of accounting and reporting systems.
  • Assist executive management with strategic department and corporate initiatives.
  • Review and verify financial information including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements before submission to clients.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues, ensuring timely and accurate handling of customer requests.
  • Monitor financial performance and provide strategic advice to the executive management team.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values.
  • Influence others to adopt different viewpoints while adhering to policies and departmental plans.
  • Identify and solve complex technical and operational problems.
  • Improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within the job subject area.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5 - 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, and performance management is preferred.
  • Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive and complicated information and handle problems effectively.
  • Leadership skills to motivate the team to achieve operational targets.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Extensive organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive approach.
  • Intermediate math skills, including the ability to calculate complex figures.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in financial reporting and compliance management.
