About the position

As a CBRE GL Accounting Sr. Manager, you will lead a large team responsible for overseeing the financial performance of clients. This role involves managing the organization's financial controls and preparing financial reports for management and shareholders, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide formal supervision to employees and monitor their training and development.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and coaching for team members.
  • Lead all aspects of recruiting and hiring new employees.
  • Coordinate and lead the team's daily activities, establishing work schedules and assigning tasks.
  • Set and track staff and department deadlines, mentoring and coaching as needed.
  • Create a positive customer experience through effective communication.
  • Review items handled by junior team members and provide guidance as necessary.
  • Prepare complex financial statements and approve audit and tax preparation documents.
  • Act as the point of contact for accounting and reporting systems, providing technical expertise.
  • Assist executive management with strategic initiatives.
  • Review and verify financial information before submission to clients.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues, ensuring timely and accurate handling of requests.
  • Monitor financial performance and provide strategic advice to management.
  • Apply broad knowledge of the business and integrate with other areas to achieve objectives.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values.
  • Identify and solve complex technical and operational problems.
  • Improve existing methods, processes, and standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5 - 8 years of relevant experience, or a combination of experience and education.
  • Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, and performance management is preferred.
  • Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive and complicated information.
  • Strong leadership skills to motivate the team towards operational targets.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Extensive organizational skills and an inquisitive approach.
  • Intermediate math skills for financial calculations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in financial reporting and compliance.
