About the position

As a CBRE GL Accounting Sr. Manager, you will lead a large team that is responsible for providing oversight of the financial performance of clients. This role is integral to the Controlling job function, where you will manage the organization's financial controls and prepare financial reports for management and shareholders. Your leadership will be crucial in ensuring that the financial operations align with the company's strategic goals and objectives. In this position, you will provide formal supervision to employees, monitor their training and development, and conduct performance evaluations and coaching. You will lead all aspects of recruiting and hiring new employees, coordinate and lead the team's daily activities, establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Setting and tracking staff and department deadlines will be part of your responsibilities, along with mentoring and coaching team members as needed. You will also be responsible for creating a positive customer experience by maintaining constructive and reliable lines of communication. Your role will involve preparing periodic complex financial statements and approving audit and tax preparation documents. You will serve as the point of contact for the implementation and maintenance of the accounting and reporting systems, providing technical expertise. Assisting executive management with the implementation of strategic department and corporate initiatives will be a key aspect of your job. You will review and verify financial information, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, prior to submission to large and high-profile clients. Additionally, you will troubleshoot and resolve complex issues, ensuring that internal and external customer requests are handled timely and accurately, with a strong focus on customer service. Monitoring financial performance and providing a forward-looking view and strategic advice to the executive management team will be essential. You will apply a broad knowledge of the business and understand how your subject area integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives. Leading by example, you will model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values and influence others to adopt different perspectives while being guided by policies and departmental plans. Identifying and solving technical and operational problems of complexity will be part of your daily tasks, as well as improving and changing existing methods, processes, and standards within your job subject area.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5 - 8 years of relevant experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance is preferred.
  • Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive and complicated information and handle problems effectively.
  • Leadership skills to motivate the team to achieve operational targets.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Extensive organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive approach.
  • Intermediate math skills, with the ability to calculate complicated figures such as percentages and fractions.
