About the position

The Sr. GL Accounting Manager at CBRE is responsible for leading a large team that oversees the financial performance of clients. This role involves managing the organization's financial controls and preparing financial reports for management and shareholders, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide formal supervision to employees, including training and development, performance evaluations, and coaching.
  • Coordinate and lead the team's daily activities, establishing work schedules and assigning tasks.
  • Create a positive customer experience by maintaining reliable communication and mentoring junior team members.
  • Prepare complex financial statements and approve audit and tax preparation documents.
  • Act as the point of contact for the implementation and maintenance of accounting and reporting systems.
  • Assist executive management with strategic department and corporate initiatives.
  • Review and verify financial information, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues, ensuring timely and accurate handling of customer requests.
  • Monitor financial performance and provide strategic advice to the executive management team.
  • Lead by example, modeling behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values and influencing others accordingly.
  • Identify and solve complex technical and operational problems.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in accounting and financial management, particularly in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting and compliance standards.
  • Proven ability to manage and develop a team effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster a positive work environment.
  • Ability to analyze complex financial data and provide strategic insights.
