About the position

The Sr. Global Demand Planning & SIOP Manager at Modine Manufacturing Company is responsible for leading the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process for Air Cooled Applications. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and execute a comprehensive demand planning strategy that aligns with business goals. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in demand and supply planning, along with strong leadership and strategic planning skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a robust demand planning process incorporating best practices and industry standards.
  • Develop a demand planning strategy in collaboration with stakeholders from various departments.
  • Lead global cross-functional collaboration to gather and analyze data for accurate demand forecasts.
  • Monitor and evaluate demand forecasting accuracy and performance metrics, conducting root cause analysis for improvements.
  • Collaborate with supply chain and operations teams to optimize inventory levels while meeting customer service targets.
  • Drive the implementation of SIOP processes and develop cross-functional guidelines for effective demand and supply balancing.
  • Evaluate and implement demand planning tools and technologies to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Build and lead a high-performing demand planning team, providing mentorship and professional development opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in demand planning, SIOP, or supply chain management roles.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing demand planning processes and systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of demand forecasting methodologies and statistical analysis.
  • Excellent leadership and influencing skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills for diverse audiences.
  • Experience in driving change management and process improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in demand planning and SIOP.
  • APICS / CPIM or other industry standard Materials process certifications preferred.
  • 5+ years of direct leadership experience in both hourly and salaried workforces a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Understanding of ERP and APS systems (e.g., SAP IBP, Kinaxis, Logility) preferred.
