About the position

The Senior Global Product Specialist at Cardinal Health plays a pivotal role in the Product and Solutions Marketing team, which is responsible for defining marketing strategies and managing products and services throughout their life cycles. This position is focused on the Exam Gloves portfolio, where the specialist will lead core product management activities aimed at driving growth on a global scale. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively across various functions to execute strategic business objectives that enable sustainable growth. In this role, the Senior Global Product Specialist will support product lifecycle management activities, which include overseeing key projects, managing change development processes, and ensuring effective data management. The specialist will also develop communication methods between supply planning, sourcing, and regional marketing teams to ensure alignment and efficiency. Leading critical revenue-driving projects, the specialist will be responsible for effectively communicating project progress and outcomes to stakeholders. The position requires a deep understanding of the global Exam Gloves portfolio, including clinical practices, patient needs, and market trends. The specialist will translate these insights into clearly defined goals, objectives, strategies, and tactics that drive sales and profitability. Additionally, the role involves identifying market trends and making recommendations to maintain competitiveness and achieve sustainable economic success. The specialist will also support the launch of commercial tactics, such as collateral development and value propositions, while demonstrating strong financial acumen and logical decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support product lifecycle management activities for the portfolio, including key projects or programs, change development processes, and data management.
  • Develop effective communication methods between supply planning, sourcing, and regional marketing teams.
  • Lead critical revenue driving projects and effectively communicate project progress.
  • Become a product expert for all elements of the global Exam Gloves portfolio.
  • Understand end customer clinical practices, patient needs, and global market trends to contribute to the global product strategy for the portfolio.
  • Demonstrate intermediate knowledge of marketing and product management disciplines necessary for building business plans, product plans, and marketing plans.
  • Work collaboratively among cross-functional teams including R&D, sourcing, enterprise marketing, enterprise contracting, strategic pricing, customer service, finance, quality, regulatory, legal, inventory, and regional marketing teams.
  • Translate market and customer needs into clearly defined goals, objectives, strategies, and tactics to drive sales & profitability for the business.
  • Identify and remain current on market trends, determining product/service lifecycle implications and making recommendations to maintain market competitiveness.
  • Support and launch commercial tactics such as collateral development and value propositions.
  • Exhibit strong financial acumen and logical decision making in the general business environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred.
  • 2+ years experience in related field, preferred.
  • Tenacity and willingness to roll up your sleeves and work quickly.
  • Capable of multitasking and prioritization to deliver on business commitments.
  • Ability to problem solve and think creatively.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.
  • Ability to participate in 1 evening call each week.
