About the position

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Golang Developer to join its IoT Practice, which focuses on developing intelligent, IoT-enabled products that connect people with processes. The role involves product engineering best practices, deployment, management, and operational support across the communications, media, and technology sectors. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Golang and related technologies, contributing to the design and development of software solutions in an agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop software solutions using Golang.
• Participate in design and requirements meetings.
• Conduct unit testing and ensure software quality.
• Work in short sprints and adapt to planning pivots.
• Collaborate with team members during daily standups.
• Build and maintain DevOps pipeline CI/CD.
• Utilize microservices architecture and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Deliver quality software on time.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of proven experience as a Golang developer.
• 9 years of total experience in software development.
• Strong knowledge of Go Programming language, Goroutines, gRPC, and Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience in building DevOps Pipeline CI/CD.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Java and C++.
• UI skills in React or Svelte are preferred.
• BS/MS degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
