About the position
The Sr. Google Cloud Platform Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role requires extensive experience in SQL and Python for data manipulation, transformation, and analysis, as well as a strong focus on data engineering within GCP, particularly using BigQuery and other related services.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform.
- Leverage BigQuery and other Google Cloud Platform services for data processing.
- Utilize SQL for data manipulation, transformation, and analysis.
- Employ Python for ETL processes and data integration.
- Optimize queries and performance tuning in BigQuery.
Requirements
- 18+ years of experience in SQL for data manipulation, transformation, and analysis.
- 7.5 years of experience working with Google Cloud Platform, focusing on data engineering.
- 15 years of experience with PySpark or equivalent big data processing technologies.
- 7.5 years of experience using BigQuery, including query optimization and data warehousing.
