About the position

The Sr. Graphic Designer at NBCUniversal is responsible for creating high-quality graphic designs for the Merch-on-Demand business, specifically for Amazon and Print on Demand. This role involves managing projects from concept to final artwork, ensuring that all creative deliverables align with Universal's intellectual properties and branding standards. The designer will work under general supervision, meet tight deadlines, and contribute innovative ideas to enhance product offerings.

Responsibilities

• Development of Apparel Graphic Designs across multiple properties and Brands for the Merch-on-Demand business model for Amazon and Print on Demand
• Developing graphic designs and prints for apparel and/or accessories
• Creating production-ready files including sizing and placement
• Creating pitch decks and style guides for both internal and external partners
• Generating ideas for Franchise expansion within the POD/MOD business model
• Developing new art styles and techniques to coordinate with marketplace trends
• Contributing new product ideas and participating in brainstorming sessions
• Coordinating with MOD partners, internal teams, and content partners on new monthly development
• Maintaining high Graphic Design standards for the MOD business
• Understanding how Graphic Design translates to products
• Being a fresh and inventive creative thinker
• Staying aware of fashion and consumer trends
• Being a strong team player

Requirements

• 3 - 5 years of related work experience in apparel graphic design, illustration, character art or merchandise design
• Strong knowledge of Apparel Graphic Design & Branding
• Strong knowledge and understanding of fashion and merchandise design
• Strong traditional and digital drawing skills, and concepting skills
• Strong expertise in both design and illustration skills
• Ability to draw and stylize characters
• Hand lettering/custom typography skills
• Strong color sense and design layout/composition abilities
• Pro-active / Can-do attitude
• Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Strong time management skills
• Resourceful and proactive
• Strong creative computer skills (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Creative Suite, Keynote)

Nice-to-haves
