About the position

As a Senior Graphic Designer/Senior Art Director at Apex Systems, you will play a pivotal role in creating visual communications that effectively convey messages in an aesthetically pleasing manner. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of design tasks, including the creation of web pages, brochures, logos, signs, books, magazine covers, annual reports, advertisements, and other communication materials. You will utilize both traditional hand-drawing techniques and modern technology, including various computer software programs, to bring your designs to life. In this position, you will meet with clients to understand their vision and requirements for their proposed communications. This collaborative process will involve creating or incorporating illustrations, pictures, and designs that reflect the desired theme and tone. You will also be responsible for selecting appropriate type sizes and styles to enhance the readability of text and images. As part of your workflow, you will produce drafts for client review and make necessary revisions based on their feedback. Attention to detail is crucial, as you will review final productions for errors and ensure that the final prints meet client specifications. In addition to these core responsibilities, you will lead the development of visual creative concepts and high-impact art direction in partnership with multidisciplinary teams. This role will require you to manage large, complex campaigns and content across multiple audiences and channels, aligning visual direction with business objectives and brand strategies. You will also be responsible for leading the visual ideation and execution of social media creative strategies, collaborating closely with copywriters and strategists to ensure cohesive messaging and branding.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Experience in social media strategy and marketing.
  • Strong skills in brand marketing and project management.
  • Ability to create animations and illustrations using Adobe After Effects.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and conceptual sketching.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Adobe Premiere for video editing.
  • Knowledge of animation techniques.
