About the position

The Senior Designer at Noticias Telemundo Network plays a vital role in the News Graphics Design team, contributing to the creative aspects of broadcast production graphics for various projects, including live shows and digital news content. This position requires flexibility in hours and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, 24/7 production environment, ensuring high-quality design and effective communication across departments.

Responsibilities

• Take projects from idea to concept, from production to launch, ensuring excellence, alignment, and quality of design thinking throughout.
• Be quick to problem-solve providing creative solutions.
• Have excellent time-management skills.
• Communicate concepts easily to all stakeholders across departments.
• Effectively communicate project statuses with Creative Design Director, Managers, Producers, and News leadership.
• Ensure projects and finished graphics are accurate and precise.

Requirements

• Minimum 10+ years working in the News broadcast/digital graphics industry.
• Degree in graphic design, motion graphics, marketing, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of layout, color theory, composition, typography, layout, and animation in relation to GFX.
• Expert level user of Adobe Photoshop, Aftereffects, Creative suite, Adobe XD, and 3D Software (Cinema 4D) Redshift.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to develop designs in a fast-paced environment without compromising quality.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work on several projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work in high-pressure production environments.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including late and/or last-minute scheduling changes in a 24/7 production work environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English and Spanish), and able to present concepts eloquently.
