The Sr Graphic Motion Designer will play a pivotal role in creating dynamic and engaging animations and motion graphic content for online courses. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, and Photoshop, is essential for this role. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate strong conceptual and storytelling skills, enabling them to create visually compelling content that enhances the learning experience. In this collaborative environment, the Sr Graphic Motion Designer will work closely with creative teams, instructional designers, and faculty to integrate visual storytelling into instructional media. This position requires the ability to create compelling visual concepts and detailed storyboards that align with project objectives and vision. The designer will also be responsible for designing and formatting instructional presentations that are visually appealing and pedagogically effective, utilizing e-learning authoring tools. Additionally, the role involves elevating video quality through the application of visual effects, transitions, meticulous color correction, and other enhancements for visual refinement. The designer will synchronize audio and enrich it with background music, sound effects, and professional voice-overs to enhance the quality of video projects. Responsibilities

  • Create dynamic and engaging animations and motion graphic content for online courses.
  • Collaborate with creative teams, instructional designers, and faculty to weave visual storytelling into instructional media.
  • Create compelling visual concepts and detailed storyboards that align with the project's objectives and vision.
  • Design and format instructional presentations that are both visually appealing and pedagogically effective using e-learning authoring tools.
  • Elevate video quality through the application of visual effects, transitions, meticulous color correction, and other enhancements for visual refinement.
  • Synchronize audio and enrich it with background music, sound effects, and professional voice-overs to enhance the quality of video projects.
  • Create or customize visually compelling graphical elements, icons, logos, and illustrations tailored for motion graphics projects.
  • Stay updated with cutting-edge trends and advancements in video editing and motion graphics best practices, techniques, and technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in motion graphics, multimedia design, visual communications, or a related field of study and at least two years of work experience.
  • Demonstrate project and time management skills to work in a flexible team setting, requiring both independent work and team-based collaboration.
  • Proficient in animation and graphic design software, including After Effects, Premiere, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • Experience in media planning and production, specializing in storyboarding, audio production, and comprehensive post-production, including video editing, to craft polished and engaging motion graphics.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage multiple intricate multimedia projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in visual storytelling and video production techniques.
  • Capability to navigate and resolve complex, ambiguous problems involving multiple stakeholders and systems.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, rapidly changing environments.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in motion graphics, multimedia design, visual communications, or a related field of study and at least five years of work experience.
  • Understand and proficient in graphic design principles including typography, user-interface layout, color theory, and composition.
  • Proficient in 3D animation software such as Cinema 4D and Blender.
  • Experience collaborating within higher education settings and engaging closely with faculty.
  • Experience writing and editing basic HTML to create well-structured and visually appealing web content.
