About the position

The Business Development Specialist role within the Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) at AWS focuses on leading go-to-market strategies for GenAI and AI/ML services targeted at US Enterprise customers. This position is integral to driving revenue and growth by developing innovative solutions and collaborating with partners to meet customer needs. The role emphasizes customer obsession, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence organizational decisions to position AWS as the preferred cloud provider.

Responsibilities

  • Lead go-to-market strategy for AWS' GenAI and AI/ML services for US Enterprise customers.
  • Create sales plays and leverage partners to drive results for customers.
  • Provide critical feedback from customers to inform product roadmaps.
  • Work closely with the partner network to build an ecosystem supporting customer goals.
  • Innovate with customers to develop and deliver new services and solutions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional or military experience.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level.
  • 5+ years of experience in AI/ML and/or GenAI technologies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Experience communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple teams.
  • Established track record of credibility as a technology advisor with customer executives.
  • Experience and success in negotiating complex deals with customers and partners.
  • Experience in a heavily matrixed sales environment.
  • Deep understanding of cloud technologies, including public and hybrid cloud platforms.
  • Technical background in engineering, computer science, or MIS.
