About the position

Apple is seeking a highly motivated Senior Hardware Development Engineer to join the Display Technologies Organization. This role focuses on the technology development of new display and optical module architectures for future Apple products. The engineer will work in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary team environment, engaging in hands-on experimentation and prototyping to bring new module concepts to life, ensuring quality and attention to detail throughout the process.

Responsibilities

  • Define technical work scope and drive technical directions for display and optics module technologies.
  • Develop systematic plans to establish engineering learnings and meet product schedules.
  • Initiate new module technologies to enable innovative design architectures.
  • Design, build, test, and refine hardware prototypes and systems in MTC's labs.
  • Drive process development in MTC's labs, including resource planning and empirical validation trials.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align development strategies and demonstrate technical results to executives.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in hardware development engineering, particularly in display and optics technologies.
  • Strong hands-on skills in designing and prototyping hardware systems.
  • Ability to plan and execute technology proof-of-concept work effectively.
  • Experience in data analysis, visualization, and parameter optimization.
  • Excellent collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with advanced display technologies and optical systems.
  • Familiarity with risk assessment and management in engineering projects.
  • Knowledge of empirical validation techniques and design of experiments (DOE).
