About the position

Digiflight, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Hardware Specialist to support the Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) products software products, services, and technologies implemented throughout the CD enterprise. The Hardware Specialist will play a crucial role in coordinating engineering services for network and end-user hardware on the infrastructure. This position is pivotal in supporting the transition of networks and data management processes to enhance network capabilities and improve the end-user experience while simultaneously reducing life cycle costs and boosting operational readiness and execution. The Hardware Specialist will be responsible for providing in-depth analysis related to the design, development, and implementation of hardware for various products. This includes developing comprehensive test strategies, devices, and systems, as well as performing stress and performance tests on a wide range of computer hardware, including circuit boards, processors, and wiring. The specialist will also identify requirements for hardware and software to support innovation, development, integration, and testing environments. In addition, the specialist will be tasked with developing, delivering, maintaining, and implementing plans, processes, and techniques to identify, quantify, and monitor hardware and software assets, including licenses and maintenance agreements. This role will provide the necessary capabilities to define, track, and control licenses procured under the contract and those provided by the Government for the full period of performance of the contract. Furthermore, the specialist will support the development and delivery of required reporting to track and audit hardware (equipment, parts, and materials) and software vendors, titles, licenses, quantities, costs, versions, and usage to ensure compliance with the terms and conditions of each.

Responsibilities

  • Provides analysis related to the design, development, and implementation of hardware for products
  • Develops test strategies, devices, and systems
  • Performs stress and performance tests on a variety of computer hardware including circuit boards, processors, and wiring
  • Identifies requirements for hardware and software to support innovation, development, integration, and test environments
  • Develops, delivers, maintains, and implements plans, processes, and techniques to identify, quantify, and monitor hardware and software assets
  • Defines, tracks, and controls licenses procured under the contract and those provided by the Government
  • Supports the development and delivery of required reporting to track/audit hardware and software vendors, titles, licenses, quantities, costs, versions, and usage

Requirements

  • Significant experience conducting logistical support and with resource accountability
  • Significant experience participating in audits and physical asset verification within home site and throughout the enterprise
  • Experience aiding in Planning and executing Enterprise Life-cycle Management
  • Significant experience maintaining process documentation as Configuration Management processes improve/change
  • Significant experience providing artifacts as needed to support Certification and Accreditation for systems and services
  • Instructs and trains other team members and management staff regarding document control and configuration management use and processes
  • Significant experience providing recommendations and best practices to improve existing CM processes and procedures
  • Experience ensuring configuration management program conforms to all required U.S. Government and Department of Defense rules and requirements
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must have an active TS/SCI
  • Must have a MA/MS degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience or a BS/BA degree with a minimum of 12 years of total experience
