About the position

The Sr. Application Developer will be a key member of the HR Product Team at Pacific Life, responsible for the design, development, testing, implementation, and support of Workday integrations across various IT and business systems. This role involves evaluating integration requirements, providing solutions that align with enterprise strategies, and ensuring the functionality and availability of HR systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR technology tools and enterprise application integrations, with a focus on delivering effective solutions to meet client needs.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and implement Workday integrations across IT and business systems.
  • Support the portfolio of other HR solutions and ensure system availability and functionality.
  • Evaluate new and existing systems to determine integration requirements.
  • Develop and maintain technical specifications and documentation for integration processes.
  • Monitor integration performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Contribute to the design and evolution of system architecture for scalability and performance.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to execute projects.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in building integrations within the Workday ecosystem using cloud connectors, EIB, and Workday Studio.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, Java, Python, and JavaScript.
  • In-depth understanding of system architecture and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Established verbal and written communication skills.
  • Certification in Workday Pro Integration Administration and Workday Pro Studio.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certification in Workday HCM and Workday Extend.
  • Familiarity with middleware platforms like MuleSoft and Snowflake.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies such as AI and LLM integration.
