Weyerhaeuser Company is searching for an experienced Senior Human Resources Business Partner for our Washington Western Timberlands organization, supporting the business leaders, salaried staff, and unionized production workers in our logging, trucking, and export yard operations. This opportunity has opened due to the promotion of the incumbent. In this role, the Sr. HRBP will be tasked with building relationships with employees at all levels of the organization, managing a variety of complex HR tasks, both specific to Timberlands and companywide initiatives. The Sr. HRBP will be consulted on a variety of topics ranging from talent management, succession planning, compensation reviews, performance management, organization design, labor/employee relations, and everything in between. This role functions as a strategic partner on the Timberlands region leadership teams and is part of a collaborative network of HR professionals supporting Timberlands and Weyerhaeuser across North America. Reporting to the Western Timberlands HR Director, this role is currently based in our Lower Columbia Regional Timberlands office in Longview; however, other considerations may be made for a mutually agreeable Timberlands office located in or near our Washington Timberlands operations. The Sr. HRBP will role model Weyerhaeuser's core principles of integrity, fairness, creating a positive work environment, and ensuring open communication among associates. The position involves advising leaders on complex strategic operational and business goals and skillfully incorporating relevant tools to facilitate solutions with consideration beyond the local site. The Sr. HRBP may manage complex projects for the region and advise on complex HR issues, facilitate workforce planning and talent management processes for locations, and proactively manage HR administrative activities and labor/employee relations. Additionally, the role includes managing and providing guidance regarding collective bargaining agreements and grievance management, ensuring compliance requirements, and championing diversity goals and an inclusive work environment. The Sr. HRBP will also manage education, training, and continuous development of skills for leaders and associates, manage compensation and wage analysis to ensure the facilities are competitive and retain critical skills, and ensure state and federal compliance requirements are met. Finally, the Sr. HRBP will prepare and analyze reports for quarterly and annual reviews and be responsible for salaried and hourly staffing functions, which includes sourcing, recruiting, retention, and onboarding processes.
