About the position

Eaton's B-Line division is currently seeking a Sr. HR Generalist who will serve as a key point of contact for employees to connect with the human resources department. This role is pivotal in promoting Eaton values and providing courteous and timely service to all employees. The Sr. HR Generalist will lead various employee relations activities, including employee coaching, conducting investigations, and supporting the performance management process. Additionally, the position involves supporting hourly talent acquisition and management activities, which includes building and maintaining a successful candidate pipeline, diversity and veteran outreach, and serving as a liaison with relevant hiring managers. The role also focuses on strengthening employee retention and engagement by establishing and coordinating the standard onboarding and orientation processes with integrated efforts from various functions. The Sr. HR Generalist will build organizational capability by supporting Eaton's talent management and organizational effectiveness initiatives in areas such as succession planning, organizational capability reviews, leadership development training, and performance management. Furthermore, the individual will coach and influence frontline leadership regarding relevant policies, practices, laws, and regulations to ensure that all human resource policies and programs are driving an engaged and accountable culture. As a local subject matter expert for employee benefits and payroll questions, the Sr. HR Generalist will coordinate with the remote centralized HR service center and payroll teams as necessary, and will also coordinate benefits enrollment meetings, communications, and processes. The role requires generating and analyzing regular and ad-hoc reports for regulatory, budgeting, and auditing purposes, as well as facilitating and participating in engagement committees in support of the overall Eaton goals, such as employee engagement, community involvement, and inclusion & diversity initiatives. The Sr. HR Generalist will partner with HR Services to complete employment record and compensation updates and audits, and will administrate the end employment process for both voluntary and involuntary separations. Finally, the individual will prepare and distribute HR-related communications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 2 years of increasing responsibility in a progressive HR environment supporting global functions and/or manufacturing operations.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.

Nice-to-haves

  • Minimum 3 years of increasing HR responsibility.
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • PHR certification.
  • Able and open to relocate to additional Eaton facilities for growth and developmental opportunities.
