About the position

The Senior HR Generalist at Fellowship Village will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of human resources management within our community located in Basking Ridge, NJ. This position reports directly to the Senior Director of HR and is essential for ensuring that our HR practices align with the organization's mission and core values. The Senior HR Generalist will be responsible for managing the full-cycle recruitment and selection processes, which includes attracting and retaining top talent across all departments. This role will also involve developing innovative recruitment plans to maximize staffing levels, ensuring that we have the right people in the right positions to provide compassionate care to our residents. In addition to recruitment, the Senior HR Generalist will manage payroll and benefits administration, ensuring that these processes are efficient and accurate. This includes promoting internal career opportunities and supporting the development of team members through onboarding, orientation, and training initiatives. The role requires collaboration with hiring managers to assess staffing needs and develop effective strategies to meet those needs. Furthermore, the Senior HR Generalist will be responsible for maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as facilitating conflict resolution and maintaining interpersonal sensitivity within the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR management, with at least 5 years of progressive experience in the field. A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required, along with a preferred SHRM-CP or PHR certification. Strong knowledge of employment laws, excellent communication skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks while maintaining confidentiality are essential for success in this role. Experience in the senior living or healthcare industry is also preferred, as it will provide valuable context for the unique challenges and opportunities within this sector.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in HR management.
  • Strong knowledge of Federal and State employment laws.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain confidentiality.

Nice-to-haves

  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.
  • Experience in the senior living or healthcare industry preferred.
