About the position

Robert Half is in search of a Sr. HR Generalist to join our client's team in the Eatontown, New Jersey area. The Sr. HR Generalist will be instrumental in promoting HR programs, assisting in talent acquisition, and enhancing job satisfaction through prompt issue resolution and the implementation of employee engagement activities. This role is pivotal in creating an efficient and conflict-free workplace by actively promoting HR initiatives and ensuring that the organization adheres to best practices in human resources management. The Sr. HR Generalist will assist in the recruitment process and talent acquisition, contributing to the development and implementation of human resource policies that align with the company's goals. A key aspect of this position is to boost job satisfaction by resolving employee issues promptly and initiating various employee engagement activities. The individual will also monitor, assign, and implement brand standards and corporate hotel-related training, ensuring that all employees are well-equipped to meet the company's expectations. In addition, the Sr. HR Generalist will provide backup to onboarding for new employees by preparing information packets, reviewing company policies and payroll information, explaining benefit programs, and obtaining necessary document signatures. The role also involves preparing payroll by calculating and entering pay into ADP Workforce Now, distributing checks, and maintaining payroll records. Maintaining accurate employee human resources records is essential, including tracking hiring, transfers, terminations, changes in job classifications, and merit increase dates, as well as vacation, sick, and personal time. The Sr. HR Generalist will assist in administering employee benefits programs, including medical insurance and disability programs, by advising employees of eligibility, providing application information, helping with form completion, verifying submissions, and notifying employees of approvals. Documenting and tracking human resources actions through forms, reports, logs, and records is also a critical responsibility. The individual will accomplish the human resources department and organization mission by completing related results as needed and ensuring compliance with labor regulations in collaboration with the HR Director.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a HR Generalist role
  • Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now
  • Familiarity with ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode, Ceridian, and Dayforce
  • Experience in Benefit Functions
  • Strong Communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Knowledge of Compliance rules and regulations
  • Proven track record in Employee Relations
  • Understanding of FMLA (Family Medical Leave Act)
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and experience with complex transactions.
