The Senior Human Resource Generalist plays a pivotal role in managing HR-related duties at a professional level, closely collaborating with the HR Manager and Operations to support designated facilities. This position serves as the primary point of contact for employees regarding various human resource issues, including payroll, benefits, leave of absence, and compliance with labor laws. The Senior HR Generalist is tasked with ensuring that all HR functions are executed efficiently and effectively, contributing to a positive work environment and supporting the overall organizational goals. In this role, the Senior HR Generalist will oversee payroll administration and maintain the HRIS system, specifically ADP. They will act as the main contact for employees needing assistance with the ADP platform, ensuring that all employees can access and utilize the system without issues. Additionally, the Senior HR Generalist will manage the administration of Leave of Absence programs, including FMLA, NYS PFL, Workers Compensation, and both Short and Long Term Disability claims. The position also involves conducting recruitment efforts for various personnel levels, including exempt and nonexempt employees, students, and temporary staff. This includes creating and posting job advertisements through ADP and other recruitment channels, as well as partnering with temporary staffing agencies when necessary. The Senior HR Generalist will pre-screen applicants, schedule interviews, and conduct background checks, ensuring a thorough onboarding process that includes new hire orientation. Furthermore, the Senior HR Generalist will assist in organizational training efforts related to HR policies, compliance, and development. They will conduct training sessions on OSHA requirements and NYS Sexual Harassment Prevention, advising management on resolving routine employee relations issues. This role also includes managing the performance review process and maintaining records to comply with EEO regulations, ensuring that the organization adheres to affirmative action programs and other regulatory requirements. The Senior HR Generalist may also provide assistance to affiliate companies as needed.
