About the position

The Sr. HR Manager at Duluth Trading Company is responsible for planning and executing all human resource activities within their assigned locations. This role involves leading and developing direct reports, promoting a culture of innovation and collaboration, and ensuring alignment of HR policies with the company's mission and values. The position requires strong relationship-building skills and a detail-oriented mindset to adapt to the changing workforce dynamics.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute talent strategies including talent retention, engagement, employee relations, and HR compliance.
  • Lead employee relations investigations and partner with the Director of Human Resources to resolve employment matters.
  • Provide a safe and objective open door for team members to discuss issues and concerns.
  • Assess training needs for the Corporate office and conduct regular gap analysis assessments for continuing education.
  • Lead efforts to develop and implement strategies that build a diverse workforce.
  • Use data analysis to provide regular updates to leaders on HR trends.
  • Support the development of Employee Resource Groups to drive continuous improvement in diversity efforts.
  • Provide leadership guidance and support to HR Generalists.
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Business.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in human resources.
  • Advanced knowledge of HR practices, including federal and state guidelines.
  • Ability to work with and influence senior leaders.
  • Unwavering integrity and confidentiality with employee and company information.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong delegation and partnership skills.
  • Superb business acumen.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google tools.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in developing and implementing HR compliance programs.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools and techniques.
