As a Senior Human Resource Specialist at Target, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Global Supply Chain and Logistics business. This position is essential in building the best teams and infusing Target's distinctive retail brand into our HR practices. You will be responsible for providing technical and administrative support to the HR team, which includes maintaining employee records, managing employment orientation, and overseeing compensation and benefits administration. Your role will require you to interact with team members at various levels within the organization, as well as with external candidates, ensuring that staffing needs are met effectively in the distribution center. In this role, you will ensure compliance with Federal and State employment regulations and company policies across all employment areas, including hiring, promotions, transfers, resignations, and terminations. You will also be tasked with executing compensation and benefits programs in a timely manner, maintaining accurate timekeeping and record-keeping practices, and addressing any employee inquiries regarding these programs. Employee training is another critical aspect of your responsibilities, as you will ensure that training programs are executed on schedule and that records of regulatory and corporate training are accurately maintained. Your position will also involve assisting with special projects, which may include coordinating cyclical processes and new initiatives. You will work both independently and collaboratively within a team, sharing ideas and adapting to changes as necessary. Reporting to work on time and completing assigned tasks accurately and promptly will be vital to contributing to the overall success of the distribution center.
