About the position

As a Senior Human Resource Specialist at Target, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Global Supply Chain and Logistics business by providing technical and administrative support to the HR team. This position involves maintaining employee records, managing employment orientation, and ensuring compliance with employment regulations. You will also assist with staffing needs, compensation and benefits programs, and employee training, while serving as a strategic partner to both leadership and team members.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate employee records and manage employment orientation processes.
• Support staffing needs of the distribution center and ensure compliance with employment regulations.
• Execute compensation and benefits programs in a timely manner.
• Assist with employee training programs and maintain accurate training records.
• Answer employee questions and escalate concerns to leadership as necessary.
• Coordinate special projects and cyclical processes as assigned.
• Work efficiently both individually and as part of a team to meet business goals.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of administrative experience.
• Proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, and computer systems (e.g., Excel, Word, O365).
• Strong customer/client service skills with effective communication abilities at all organizational levels.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information and make fair, consistent decisions.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a human resources role or related field.
