About the position

As a Senior Human Resource Specialist at Target, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Global Supply Chain and Logistics business by providing technical and administrative support to the HR team. This position involves maintaining employee records, managing employment orientation, and ensuring compliance with employment regulations. You will be a strategic partner to both leaders and team members, positively impacting the employee experience and supporting staffing needs in the distribution center.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate employee records and manage administration of employment orientation.
• Support execution of cyclical HR processes, including workers compensation and payroll.
• Ensure compliance with Federal and State employment regulations and company policies.
• Assist with the timely execution of compensation and benefits programs.
• Coordinate employee training programs and maintain accurate training records.
• Answer employee questions and escalate concerns to leadership as necessary.
• Participate in special projects, including coordination of cyclical processes and new initiatives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of administrative experience.
• Proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, and computer systems (e.g., Excel, Word, O365).
• Strong customer/client service skills with effective communication abilities at all organizational levels.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information with discretion.
• Strong prioritization and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
