About the position

As a Senior Human Resource Specialist at Target, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Global Supply Chain and Logistics business. This position involves providing technical and administrative support to the HR team, maintaining employee records, and ensuring compliance with employment regulations. You will be a strategic partner to both leaders and team members, facilitating employee orientation, managing compensation and benefits programs, and assisting with employee training. Your work will directly impact the experience of team members and the overall success of the distribution center operations.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate employee records and manage administration of employment orientation.
  • Support staffing needs of the distribution center and ensure compliance with employment regulations.
  • Execute compensation and benefits programs in a timely manner and assist with related inquiries.
  • Ensure timely execution of employee training programs and maintain accurate training records.
  • Assist with answering employee questions and escalate concerns to leadership as necessary.
  • Coordinate special projects, including cyclical processes and new initiatives.
  • Work efficiently both individually and as part of a team, adapting to change as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • 1+ years of administrative experience.
  • Proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, and computer systems (e.g., Excel, Word, O365).
  • Strong customer/client service skills with effective communication abilities at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information and make fair, consistent decisions.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a human resources role or related field.
  • Familiarity with Federal and State employment regulations.
