As a Senior Human Resource Specialist at Target, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Global Supply Chain and Logistics business. This position is essential in building the best teams and infusing Target's distinctive retail brand into our HR practices. You will be a strategic partner to both leaders and team members, positively impacting the experience of employees in distribution centers across the Target network. Your responsibilities will include providing technical and administrative support to the HR team, maintaining accurate employee records, and managing the administration of employment orientation, compensation, and benefits. You will also support the execution of cyclical processes, workers' compensation, payroll, and ensure compliance with federal and state employment regulations. In this role, you will interact with team members at various levels within the organization, as well as external candidates. You will ensure that staffing needs are met by facilitating employee orientation and compliance with company policies in all areas of employment, including hiring, promotions, transfers, resignations, and terminations. Additionally, you will oversee the timely execution of compensation and benefits programs, assist with employee training, and maintain accurate records of regulatory and corporate trainings. Your ability to answer employee questions and escalate concerns to leadership will be crucial in fostering a supportive work environment. As a Senior HR Specialist, you will also be involved in special projects, including the coordination of cyclical processes and new initiatives. Your role requires you to work efficiently both individually and as part of a team, sharing ideas and adapting to change.
