About the position

The Sr HR Specialist at NFIB will play a crucial role in supporting the organization's human resources initiatives, focusing on employee relations and program administration. This position serves as a key point of contact for employee concerns, collaborates with management to address issues, and ensures compliance with company policies and employment laws. The role also involves HRIS administration, performance management, and the development of employee programs to meet departmental goals.

Responsibilities

  • Support organization human resources initiatives through employee programs administration and employment data analysis.
  • Act as a point of contact for employee concerns and collaborate with management to address employee relations issues in compliance with company policies and employment laws.
  • Coordinate employee development plans and performance management processes.
  • Administer HRIS and process related tasks including compensation, performance management, and unemployment reporting.
  • Provide HR support through program development and maintenance to meet department goals and objectives.
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, ensuring work outcomes meet productivity and quality standards.
  • Work as part of a cooperative team environment and independently, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in HR Management, Business Administration, Communications or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Five (5) - seven (7) years' experience in a human resources environment, with 3+ years of employee relations experience.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and human resources best practices.
  • Experience with HRIS administration, compensation, performance management, and unemployment processes.
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Working knowledge of HRIS/Payroll processes; query and report development and analysis.

Nice-to-haves

  • PHR / SHRM-CP certificate preferred, not required.
  • National or multi-state experience is preferred.
  • UltiPro and Business Intelligence report writing experience preferred.
