About the position

The Sr. HRIS Analyst at Panasonic North America plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality HR system solutions tailored to meet the needs of end users. This position involves a comprehensive understanding of the HRIS landscape, including both integrated and non-integrated systems. The analyst is responsible for gathering and developing business requirements, supporting technical design, product development, testing, and deployment of HR systems. The role requires close collaboration with various HR areas to determine technology requirements that align with business goals, translating these requirements into actionable project plans and effective HR system solutions. In this position, the Sr. HRIS Analyst will monitor, analyze, and maintain the company's HRIS landscape, ensuring that all systems function effectively and meet user needs. The analyst will make recommendations for improvements, drive the implementation of upgrades and modifications, and manage release processes. Additionally, the role includes providing Tier 2 support for time tracking, payroll, and absence issues within Workday, performing configurations, and documenting changes and processes related to these areas. The analyst will also partner with the HRIS team and Tower Lead on various projects, work with third-party resources to implement new solutions, and ensure compliance with Panasonic's data management protocols. Regular system audits, data queries, and continuous interaction with the Workday Community to stay updated on enhancements are also key responsibilities. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, all while maintaining confidentiality and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, analyze and maintain company's HRIS Landscape, including all relevant integrated and non-integrated systems and infrastructure
  • Make recommendations to improve the functionality and effectiveness of all HR systems
  • Drive the implementation of upgrades and modifications as they are released from all associated vendors
  • Drive the implementation of release management
  • Ensure that the HRIS functionality is meeting the Users needs
  • Partner with customers to gather business requirements
  • Evaluate requests for changes, analyze the impact on the entire system and infrastructure, submit recommendations for approvals, and prioritize and schedule completion of approved requests
  • Provide Tier 2 support and resolution for time tracking, payroll, time off and absence in Workday specific issues as they arise
  • Perform configuration in Workday and document time tracking, payroll, absence related changes and processes
  • Partner with Tower Lead and HRIS team members on time tracking, payroll and absence projects
  • Work with resources of 3rd party systems to facilitate projects and implement new solutions
  • Write and update system documentation and provide communications as modifications and system upgrades are performed
  • Write and update project documentation as enhancements and developments are performed
  • Run periodic system audits, review and distribute to users for corrections
  • Continuously interact with Workday Community to ensure awareness of current and future enhancements
  • Evaluate releases and functionality to identify opportunities to improve and optimize the use of Workday and or associated systems
  • Utilize the Panasonic Data Management and Security Protocols to protect, properly share, and store data
  • Partner with the Analytics and Reporting team to run data queries
  • Assist in following proper procedures to ensure compliance related to Panasonic Policy, Systems and Data Management Protocols
  • Follow change management process to ensure quality and consistency across all System and Data platforms

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3-5+ years of relevant work experience
  • Experience in configuring and implementing various modules within Workday cloud enterprise applications
  • Workday certification or other system certification in relevant support area preferred
  • Ability to define problems effectively, curate and analyze relevant data, establish facts, and draw valid and concrete conclusions to make and support sound recommendations
  • Demonstrated proven ability to manage multiple, often competing project workloads and activities
  • Comfort and ability to work effectively in both independent and team-based scenarios
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage and work with confidential information
  • Comfort with learning on the fly
  • Attention to detail and thoroughness required
  • Ability to work on highly cross-functional, geographically distributed project teams
