About the position

The People Experience Business Partner (HRBP) position is a strategic role that focuses on aligning business objectives with employees and management within specific business units. This position is crucial in formulating partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added services that reflect the organization's business objectives. The HRBP maintains a strong understanding of the business unit's financial position, midrange plans, culture, and competition, which is essential for effective decision-making and support. In this role, you will engage in various projects that include conducting weekly meetings with business unit leaders to discuss HR-related matters and provide guidance. You will consult with line management, offering HR advice when necessary, and manage complex employee relations issues. This includes conducting thorough and objective investigations in collaboration with the Company's Legal department to ensure compliance and mitigate risks. You will analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop effective solutions, programs, and policies that enhance the workplace environment. Additionally, the HRBP will provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management, which encompasses coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions. You will work closely with both management and employees to improve work relationships, boost morale, and increase productivity and retention rates. The role also involves providing HR policy guidance and interpretation, developing contract terms for new hires, promotions, and transfers, and overseeing the exit interview process to gather valuable feedback for management. You will assist international employees with expatriate assignments and related HR matters, provide input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning, and identify training needs for business units and individual executive coaching requirements. Participation in the evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure their success is also a key responsibility. Overall, this position requires a proactive approach to HR management and a commitment to fostering a positive workplace culture.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct weekly meetings with business unit leaders.
  • Consult with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues.
  • Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations in collaboration with the Company's Legal department.
  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Partner with the legal department as needed/required.
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Develop contract terms for new hires, promotions, and transfers.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance and oversight of subordinates; actively work to promote and recognize performance.
  • Develop and manage the exit interview process; develop systems for communicating gathered information to management.
  • Assist international employees with expatriate assignments and related HR matters.
  • Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning.
  • Identify training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.
  • Participate in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success.
  • Follow up to ensure training objectives are met.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues.
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated record of working hard, being a trustworthy teammate, holding yourself and others to high standards, and being kind to others.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $109,000 - $163,000 a year
