About the position

The Senior Human Resources Generalist plays a crucial role in ensuring that Community Health Network provides an exceptional experience and support to its caregivers. This position works closely with the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) Team to support various HR initiatives and programs, which include HR analytics, employee relations, employee engagement, training and development, and diversity and inclusion. Reporting directly to the Executive Director of Human Resources, the Sr. HR Generalist is responsible for addressing human resources needs and implementing best practices that align with the organization's business objectives. This role is not only pivotal in managing HR functions but also serves as a role model and resource for other Human Resources Generalists, providing support and guidance as needed. In addition to the core responsibilities, the Sr. Human Resources Generalist will initiate and oversee projects aimed at process improvement within the HR department. The position requires a collaborative approach, as the individual will need to work effectively within a team setting, demonstrating excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards problem-solving. The role is designed for someone who is proactive and can adapt to various situations, changes, and new learnings, ensuring that the HR department remains responsive to the needs of the organization and its caregivers.

Responsibilities

  • Support HR initiatives and programs including HR analytics, employee relations, employee engagement, training and development, and diversity and inclusion.
  • Collaborate with the HRBP Team to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Serve as a role model and resource for other Human Resources Generalists.
  • Initiate and manage projects aimed at process improvement within the HR department.
  • Analyze HR metrics and workforce development data to inform decision-making.
  • Maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information appropriately.
  • Build effective relationships and collaborate within a team environment.
  • Manage conflicts and negotiations effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related discipline.
  • 5 or more years of experience as an HR Generalist or in a senior HR role.
  • Proficiency in HR metrics, workforce development, and employee relations.
  • Knowledge of operational characteristics of the healthcare industry.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and HR-specific systems such as PeopleSoft and Success Factors.
  • Ability to analyze data and form critical analyses of HR, Payroll, Financial, and Clinical information.
  • In-depth understanding of HR policies and employment laws, including Wage and Hour, FMLA, and Title VII.
  • Understanding of laws and regulations impacting HR administration and accreditation requirements for hospital licensure.
  • Ability to adapt to various situations and changes.
  • Strong conflict management and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to improve processes and manage time effectively.
