About the position

BlueHalo is seeking an experienced Senior Human Resource Generalist to join our team in Dayton, OH. This role is pivotal in supporting the human resource function across the organization, particularly in the delivery of company-wide development initiatives and processes. The Senior HR Generalist will collaborate with employees and leaders to execute a wide range of HR initiatives, ensuring that the HR operations run smoothly and effectively. This includes managing employee onboarding, employee relations, policy administration, mentoring, compensation, compliance, benefits, leave administration, and offboarding processes. In addition to HR operations, the role involves providing HRIS support, specifically using ADP Workforce Now to manage new hire data, compensation adjustments, position changes, and other HR-related employment and payroll data. The Senior HR Generalist will be responsible for handling confidential and sensitive employee information with discretion and professionalism, building and maintaining trusting relationships with employees and teammates. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential, as the role requires navigating complexity and ambiguity to achieve clarity and resolution. The Senior HR Generalist will also play a key role in ensuring compliance with the constantly changing regulatory environment, conducting audits, and producing mandatory reports. Effective communication is crucial, as the individual will consult with leadership to anticipate employee needs and concerns, providing appropriate resolutions and conveying information clearly to all levels of employees. This position requires U.S. Citizenship and will be performed on-site in Dayton, OH.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with employees and leaders to execute a wide range of Human Resource initiatives.
  • Manage HR operations including employee onboarding, employee relations, policy administration, and employee offboarding.
  • Provide HRIS support using ADP Workforce Now for processing new hire data and other HR-related employment/payroll data.
  • Handle confidential and sensitive employee information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Build and maintain trusting relationships with employees and teammates.
  • Navigate complexity and ambiguity to obtain clarity and resolution in HR matters.
  • Conduct audits and produce mandatory reports to ensure HR compliance success.
  • Consult with leadership to anticipate employee needs and provide appropriate resolutions.
  • Convey information to all levels of employees in an understandable manner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Human Resources, Psychology, or related field; post graduate degree preferred.
  • 5 years' direct experience in HR Operations and 3 years of leadership experience.
  • Experience with a science, technology, or DoD contractor preferred.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Ability to build trusting relationships with all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability and learning agility.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn HRIS.
