About the position

As a Sr. Human Resources Generalist, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day administration of various HR policies and programs. This position encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including recruiting, compensation and benefits management, training, employee and labor relations, safety, and team member support. Your contributions will be essential in fostering a positive work environment and ensuring that our employees feel valued and supported. In this role, you will manage inquiries from both managers and employees regarding the organization's processes, policies, procedures, and programs. You will oversee the entire employee lifecycle, which includes recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding. Additionally, you will support payroll processing by ensuring the timely completion of time records for both nonexempt and salaried nonexempt employees. Your ability to lead the resolution of employee concerns, corrective actions, and investigations will be crucial in maintaining a positive employee environment that aligns with our company philosophy, values, and applicable laws and regulations. You will engage with leadership within assigned Business Units and/or Corporate to understand business needs and develop effective people solutions. Collaborating with all levels of the organization and HR Centers of Excellence, you will utilize provided tools to drive the adoption of learning experiences, facilitate positive change management outcomes, and implement various initiatives. Furthermore, you will be responsible for driving culture, engagement, and retention initiatives, ensuring that our workplace remains vibrant and inclusive. Adhering to the Saputo code of ethics and actively applying our values will be fundamental to your success in this role. You will also perform all other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the HR team and the organization as a whole.

Responsibilities

  • Manage inquiries regarding the organization's processes, policies, procedures, and programs from managers and employees.

  • Lead resolution of employee concerns, corrective actions, investigations, and work performance issues to maintain a positive employee environment according to company philosophy, values, policies, and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Engage with leadership within assigned Business Units and/or Corporate to understand business needs and build effective people solutions.
  • Partner with all levels of the organization and HR Centers of Excellence to utilize provided tools to drive adoption of learning experiences and implement other initiatives.
  • Drive culture, engagement, and retention initiatives.
  • Adhere to the Saputo code of ethics and actively apply the Saputo values.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR generalist roles.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficient in HRIS systems and MS Office applications.
