About the position

The Sr. Human Resources Generalist at International Motors will play a crucial role in supporting various business units with a focus on complex employee relations issues and conducting investigations. This hybrid position, based in Lisle, Illinois, requires a results-oriented individual who can maintain confidentiality, document sensitive information, and ensure consistent communication regarding employee relations cases. The role involves working cross-functionally with legal, compliance, and HR teams to implement initiatives and drive change within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting employee investigations and employee relations
  • Document and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of all ER cases
  • Maintain good/consistent communication with manager and employee on pending cases
  • Interpret and drive consistency of HR policies and practices
  • Work cross functionally with legal, compliance, HR Business Partners, COEs, etc. across the company to plan and implement various initiatives and processes
  • Work closely with site leaders to ensure that all policies and procedures are understood, communicated, and consistently administered with all employees
  • Lead change
  • Project management of key cross functional programs and priorities
  • Analyze data to drive critical business decisions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least 8 years of human resources experience
  • At least 1 year of lead experience
  • OR Master's degree with at least 6 years of human resources experience and 1 year of lead experience
  • OR at least 10 years of human resources experience and 1 year of lead experience

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience independently handling employee relations investigations and cases
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple, possibly conflicting priorities in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Excellent problem solving and timely decision-making experience
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills and follow-up
  • Ability to build relationships and act as a liaison when necessary
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
  • Demonstrates solid judgment and experience assessing risk relative to the business
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus
  • Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment
